Welcome to Darkeden Classic.

This is Dark Eden as it was in its early days: two races, the old maps, the old pace. No later classes, no later systems bolted on. If you played back then, it should feel like coming home.

What kind of server this is

Slayers and Vampires only, as in 2004.
The early world. Maps and dungeons that came later are closed.
Monsters under their original names, with the early-era spawns.
No unique items. They cannot drop or be obtained, so nobody starts ahead.
Fair play enforced by the server. Movement and attack speed are checked on the server, and you cannot log out in the middle of a fight.

What is new

A few things have been added that the old game never had, without changing how it plays:

Widescreen. The game fills a modern 16:9 screen, menus included.
A Windows client with its own launcher. Unzip it and play, nothing to install.
An online guide on this site: items, monsters and what they drop, skills, and a world map you can click through from zone to zone.

Where things stand

The server is up and being tested every day. Accounts are not open yet: registration and the high scores will be switched on here when the game is ready for players. There is no opening date to announce yet. When there is one, it will be posted here first.
